Taxonomy, systematics, and biogeography of Ficus subsection Urostigma (Moraceae)

บทคัดย่อ
Ficus subsect Urostigma is one of the most
interesting taxa of the genus Ficus It comprises c 25 species that are widely distributed
from West Africa and Madagascar through the Asian mainland to Japan and via (
Malesia to Australia and the West Pacific Urostigma is very variable
morphologically, because the classification of species is problematic and the
monophyly of the subsection is disputed These problems can hopefully be solved
in the future by molecular phylogenetic analyses and biogeographic studies,
which will address the phylogenetic relationships within and between Ficus
subsect Urostigma and other subsections The phylogeny will be studied on
the basis of molecular, morphological, pollen, and leaf anatomical data
Expected results will be a revision of all species, the Thai species
especially, pollen morphology, leaf anatomy, molecular analyses, phylogeny,
historical biogeography.
