บทคัดย่อ
National Science Museum Thailand opened Science Museum to the public in year 2000, its 10,000 square meter exhibition area displays more than 250 hands-on exhibits and models about science and technology in everyday life with the main objective, to encourage the Thai people to be more aware of the importance of science and technology in everyday life and in the sustainable development of the country.
We communicate science through our museum exhibitions, education and public program activities, special public event such as the National Science and Technology Fair and also reach out to the people in the province through our science caravan program.
To support our mission, apart from museum exhibitions, NSM also offers different kinds of educational activities for school students as well as various public programs for families, children and adults. All programs are responded to science communication process, the most favorite activity is the water rocket competition.
As the mission of National Science Museum, Thailand is to develop and operate science communication by exhibition and activities which connect to science and technology in order to raise the public understanding of science among Thai people and to encourage them to apply scientific concepts in their everyday life, which is the most important factor in the sustainable development of the nation.
